A Tribute to Stan Brakhage

A Program of Stan Brakhage's Late Films, Selected and Introduced by Fred Camper

One theme of this program, and something I discussed in the introduction, is Brakhage's fascinations with love and beauty on the one hand and with death on the other. The program's two centerpieces are the long Panels for the Walls of Heaven and the complete "Lovesong" series, but some of the shorter films are equally amazing. All these films are hand-painted.
